This year we decided to start a new tradition in the Klinker family. We had our first annual Christmas party and gingerbread house making contest. It was so fun. The little kids ate pizza and candy, and ran around most of the time the older people were working on the houses. (Because I refuse to be old, I'm simply referring to people older than our 5 year olds.) For the houses, we really didn't have much for rules, except that everything showing had to be edible. Reece lucked out, because about 1:30 in the morning he got an amazing idea to do the Salt Lake Temple. He went out to his shop and made a base for our temple consisting of a box and a few small pieces of plywood. He showed back up in bed about 2:00am with this absolutely ugly structure that he was so proud of. We then hit Great Falls to find the best candy for the job. We had so much fun trying to figure out what candy to use. We obviously went way overboard! All of us had so much fun, but we were a little bummed that we would be the only ones to see them, so I thought that I better at least post them on here. You guys will have to let me know who you think did the best job.
