First School Bus Ride

I never understood how these parents could cry over their kids going to school. As much as I absolutely love being with my kids, I thought it would be a nice little break to have them at school. I thought it would actually give me a chance to do some work around the house without having to entertain them the whole time. Well I'm offically one of those blubbering moms. Today Greenfield had a day where the incoming kindergarden kids could go to school for a few hours and see what school was like. Well Kayson has been absolutely beside himself about being able to go to the "big kids school" ever since I told him. He's been in preschool for 2 years, and even though he has always loved that, I think he wanted more than anything to ride the bus. He finally got his chance. He rode with Christian and Chloe this morning to school, and I picked him and Chloe up at 12:30, which he wasn't very happy about. He wanted to ride home on the bus.
It was so cute watching the 2 of them get on the bus, but also sad. I just know the years are going to fly by now. I'm just so glad I haven't taken anything for granted. I have cherished my time with him. He has always been my sweet, careful shy boy. I know he will do so well in school, and I'm sure his charastics will benefit him. He only has 1 other boy in his class, and thank heavens he's like his dad, and relates well with the girls!
